5K run @ 29 min! YAH but no IPOD to keep me happy :(

I CAN’T BELIEVE I LEFT MY IPOD AT WORK! I got to the gym and was ready for a good 6 mile run. But looking through my bag I realized my IPOD was at work. I forgot that I did a 4 mile walk this morning!

Yuck! Well, I was there already I said to self: self you have to do this music or not. It was sheer torture! To speed things up I went faster. GOT 3.4 Miles in - my 5K at 29 minutes. This is shaving mere seconds of yesterday’s 5 miles at 50 minutes. I take it! :)

So now, I’m gonna go home and see if I can get a nice 3 mile walk in to get a full 10 miles of running and walking in for the day. NOT BAD! :)

I still am not eating enough today.  I have room for some fruits maybe.  But on point with all the proteins,fats, carbs and sodium! :)

5 miles NONSTOP 53 MIN!!!!!!!!! Dress shoppin’ for b -day party

Yesterday May 1st I set a goal for a straight 4 mile run by the end of May.  Guess what your girl did today???????????????

I DID THAT AND SOME!!! HEHE

I was not concern about time.  I just wanted to do a full run no stop for 4 miles.  First 3 miles easy breezy no sweat, well, easy…then the 4th mile I sped it up and 5th mile was the hardest.  I took 2 1 min breaks to drink water and that was it.  But when I saw it was done in under 53 min. I was proud. :)

Yoga, oh yoga saved my poor body from the run.  I’m all stretched out now.

Well, tomorrow I turn 32.  At first I was depressed about it but no anymore.  My personal shopper is going with me, my baby Rod….he has an eye for what looks right on me.  SO we are going dress shopping or cute outfit shopping today.  I don’t like to shop but hey I need a new ‘fit.

It’ll be a combo party as my youngest brother turned 24 2 days ago.  We need a new camera - may buy that so we can take some new pics.  It’s about time for some new pictures. :)

9 MINUTE FLAT = 5K 27min! oh yes!! I GOT THE BUG!!!

I checked the schedule and my favorite Exercise GURU Miss Nygel is still out for laser surgery.  I decided to work on rebuilding my IPOD!

OH YES BABY!  MAMA BROUGHT HER A GAME TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ate 1/2 of my Apex Energy bar that and 1200 calories of food equal a wonder 3 mile straight run this evening! I WAS ON FIRE!  YEP NON-STOP AND ALL TO NEW TRANCE RE-MIXES!

Then I did my hard core Pilates class! Owwieee! I love the pain.

All in all today was a success.  The 4 days of food poisoning only strengthened me.  In total I did 7 miles of walk/run which is the 4 from this morning and my Pilates.

I have to say I’ve been biten by the runner’s bug!!! I’m contagious! OH YES!

Tomorrow morning 6 am - we have a date with JIM.  Yes, another 3 mile run tomorrow.  Can’t wait to do it all over again!!!!

OK, now I have to eat about 2300 calories total….I hear the food angels calling me to come and eat now! :)

INTERVAL TRAINING: 9 min. flat 2 mile run + 1 miles at 10 min & then some!! WHOOO HOOOO!!! :)

I got up too late to get everything in today.  But I did get up at 6am - again I ate about 800 calories from the beginning.  Went to the gym and BEAT MY OLD TIME FROM YESTERAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 SO excited!  Didn’t plan on it but did it anyhow!  I did 5 miles of my own interval training with free weights + the BOSU.  I did 1 mile at 9 min flat.  Then did my upper body weights.  Jumped back on the treadmill and did another 9 min mile.  Did more weights with emphasis on core then back on for 1 10 minute mile.  Then I did some lower body workout and back on for a 2 miles.  1 mile walk at the maximum incline for my bootay then then finished it off with 1 mile jog and cool down with 20 min. of yoga.

The only thing I missed out on is yoga class.  But who’s to say I can’t do it at home tonight to finish day off.

I’m really tired now.  Have to go eat.  Yah! Get to eat as I want again. :)

 You know the idea, no, just knowing I can eat to  my hearts content is making me a very happy woman.

BTW, last night I had a huge bowl of ice cream with chocolate syrup - no guilt just pleasure!! :)

Gotta take a nap, spend time with the family for Easter.

OC bridge is falling down falling down: 10 miles! 10 miles!!

This morning something told me to take my running shoes, IPOD and be ready for a good day.  I wanted to walk because well because I do a lot of other cardio classes that are intensive.  SO easy walking was my goal.

Goal - 8 to 10 miles walking

What did I get in 10 miles of walking

See, even when I set this goal I doubted myself.  I can walk but not that much in one day.  Jane, my assistant mapped our walk at break and told me .66 miles.  I figure I could get about 2 miles in and do 8 at home.  Well turned out it was .91 miles which made my walk during two breaks and lunch about 3.64 miles.

GREAT NEWS!!  The shocks that cost me over a grand came in.  With a cloudy day ahead of me I took full advantage of it.  I walked the remainng  6.36 miles around my business complex and surrounding area which is right next to John Wayne Airport!  Not only did I walk but I walked the OC bridge - the over pass 6 times!  That was  a very steep walk and it was AWESOME!!!! I loved it.  While Rod worked at his friend’s rim shop to put the shocks on I walked the evening away.

Honestly, walking like Salsa does not tire me out.  I’m used to high intensive cardio and sweating like a pig.  Well, the cold air, cloudy day contributed to lack of sweat I will say.

My goal is to do these long walks once a week.  So next week I am going for 12 miles - I want to do my own walking marathon.  That way, I know when it’s time to do the LA marathon next year I can run/walk it until I finish.

I realized one other thing too………as long as I have a pair of shoes, my music and these two good lungs God blessed me with I can EXERCISE ANY TIME ANY PLACE!

If I had my sports bra I would have done a walk/run.

Hey tomorrow is a new day.  I am aiming to get 350 more regular push-ups in, a weight routine after work and a good 3 mile run  in 30 minutes.

SET  YOUR MIND TO IT AND IT WILL BE DONE!  THE ONLY PERSON STOPPING YOU IS YOU!!

3 Mile Run + 6 mile walk + weights all before the family wakes up

This morning is wonderful!  What more can I ask for?  I forget sometimes how beautiful southern California is.  One of these days I have to take my run to Newport Beach.  Have too.  And I want to do it before the sunrise.  How beautiful is that?  The first Pacific Ocean sunrise I saw was on my first date with my honey about 1 1/2 years ago.  Just spectacular!

We got home early from watching Monsters vs Alien last night. It was my Nephew’s first so he was excited.  The kids all had a great time.   It was  a really good movie. Just remember the word “Gi-normica”.

Got up really early to eat a banana.  Then I went for a walk before the sun even came up.  It is so peaceful in the morning.  I was pleasantly surprise to see so many runners, joggers and walkers out there.  I opted to do a very fast but fun 6 mile walk.  I enjoyed every second of it.  I may have eaten a few bug or two because there was a swarm of little critters near the train station.  Extra protein right? :)  Only downside to walking early and near the train tracks, the train swings by and there’s a ton of dust and debris that swirls my way.

Got home.  Ate some more, slept for an hour then back to the gym I went.  I did 1 hr of weights, then jumped on the treadmill.  I did 3 miles at 6.0 - steady pace.  I just let my heart thumpin techno mixes/house mixes and club mixes music on my IPOD carry me through.

Now I home, tired but feeling very accomplished!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing feels better then getting every goal I set to come true.

It’s time for a shower and a nap.

We plan on taking the nephews and Rod’s son to the park.  This is Rod son’s last week with us before he goes to Kenya for boarding school.  Making the most of family time.

I AM SO HAPPY TO BE BACK FROM MY EXERCISE BREAK!!!

Thank you Lord for a cloudy southern California morning!  I set the alarm for a 5am banana eat and 6am run, but the darkness made it all too easy to sleep till 6am eat and then go for my run at 8am.

I had every intention of doing my 4 mile run then 2 mile walk but my butt cheeks wouldn’t have it.  I did my warmup  1/2 mile, my stretch and then started jogging.   I backed off the last mile run and just walked it.  Came home cooled down, stretched and I’m all good.

All in all 3 mile run and 3 mile walk in.  I’m back baby!! OH YES!!!

No it’s time to eat, nap then off to enjoy my Saturday.  OK SUNHSHINE YOU CAN COME OUT NOW!  I’m done.

My next mini goal today is to start getting my push-ups in and do some upper body weights at home.   Just 200 regular push-ups. :)

Another mini goal for today is to continue eating sensibly and not be tempted by the junk my sis is going to make or bring in.  Having her visit, my nephew, Rod’s son makes this place a full house.

6 mile run morning run Sunless & Cloudy just how I like it!

The IPOD completely made a difference you guys!   Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction!  I used it to do a 6 mile run this morning.  Thank God for allowing this to be a cloudy cold morning.  If the sun was up I’d be at the gym running on a treadmill.

I did the deed oh yes!!!!! 5 mile run straight not fast like I want but just a straight 5 miles.  Then I walked the last mile.  I have a new love who rivals with JIM.  Oh poor JIM cheating on him with SPRING! :)

Of course I don’t count the warm-up, cool down and stretching that I do.  I hope I can get Yoga in before the end of the day.

Well it’s off to bed with my sexy honey Rod.  I need to sleep for a few more hours.  Whew!!

I don’t know if anyone saw the new The ROCK Disney’s movie…..but we are going to see it tonight.

If I could…………might or may do a 2 mile walk or jog tonight before the movie.

I have to apologize for being a bad buddy the  last few days.  I have not read as many blogs as want.  If I didn’t catch yours I’ll try this weekend.  Ahhhhhhhhhh miss the forums too! Ouch!

Food wise I was barely in control yesterday.  The last week was bad.  I ate after midnight 5 times.  That’s the worse since I started buddyslim.  I need to pull it together in the food category.  It’s not like I starve myself.  In fact I eat more then I should or so I think.

Anwayz, today and tomorrow Zoom to Dooom is ON! :)

HELP! Advice Please - IPOD, MP3 what’s the diff? Runner’s shoes - best brand

I’ve saved up a few pennies for myself. Now it’s time to make some purchases.

Can I tell you a secret? I don’t know how to use an IPOD, MP3 or any new tech OR new gadgets for that matter. One, I’m too busy and two, I never had the need. Like texting, Funny how texting was out for a long time before I even started using it. I’m like what’s wrong with picking up the phone to talk instead of type.

So my questions is what’s the diff between these gadgets…..which would you recommend? Which is the most user friendly…..runners out there - what are you guys using to play music?

I am just a dumb user and I don’t want to read a book on how to use something. I just want to plug it up, download music and go.

Now that I’m running I need my music. So I’m letting go of my Sony radio walkman - yes still have that. LMAO And ready for some new stuff.

Now shoes, I have my cross trainer shoes. I need running shoes but not just any running shoes. I have wide fat feet so I need a brand that’s made for fat footed runners. I may try those custom running shoe stores….if you know of one - recommend please.

I currently wear Reebox and New Balance - although my New Balance which cost $120 and worn less then a handful of times is too big for me. MY FEET SHRUNK!!!!

I want to buy it tonight but I do have kickboxing and Pliates to contend with first.

Bootie Bounce w- ME! 4 miles non-stop 38 minutes! Allergic to the Sun

I CAN’T RUN FROM WORK ANYMORE! The sun and I can never be friends. Here’s the problem - genetics! I have dark Asian skin - kiss the sun for 10 min. and I turn 1 shade darker and it lasts for over a year almost. I always hide from the sun. Winters are my favorite time of the year because I stay the lightest I’ll be all year. With the time change I can’t run until after 6:30pm. I know there are many people who pays for tans but I don’t and I don’t like being darker. Shoot, give me a full day in the sun and I can be as dark as you know who we shall not name *Rod* shhhhh!!

With this realization I opted to run at the gym. Plus side got there 1 1/2 hr before yoga and started. Oh man I was loving my run! There was a guy next to me who kept me going. We ran and ran 40 min later I get a tap - ahhhhhh gym is maxed and I went 20 min over the max time during a full day. So I got off, peed, drank water and jumped on a different treadmill for a 13 min. walk.

I have to tell you I am so proud of my progress! I mean less then 3 weeks in I increase my speed - cut my miles to under 10 minutes per mile and ran 38 minutes straight - no walk except warm up and cool down. Actually its 9.50 per mile! :) My goal this month was to get to 11 min per mile by end of March - I’m there!!!!

What did I accomplish today? 330 push -ups actually got in 350 push-ups! :), 4 mile run, 1 mile walk and 1 hour yoga + + 10 min abs with Nygel - snuck into their Set class.

My run goal for this week - do 5 miles on the streets with 1 mile walk in 65 min. Maybe this Friday……..???

I’m tired now. Gonna go eat, chat with my honey and come back to check on my buddies!!
