If I want it enough have it; Why r u checking out my profile? You don’t like me!

I at sooooooooo clean today!! YAY me!!! Yep - I did the do and ate as close to veganistic  as I can. Except for the 4 oz of chicken breast for dinner I was a la cleano!  LOVE IT!

I ate an energy bar before kickboxing and boy did I take it to a whole new level!! Talk about fire under the bootay baby!!! Then I stayed for Pilates.  Yep, I modified out all upper body and focus on core on account of my now sore left arm. It’s much better but I can’t see me doing weights till next week.  I baby my body.

Last night I used my Chinese steamer to steam my chicken breast for work. I left it at home - ummm yay - thanks to fight night.

I decided to kill two birds with one stone. Save gas and not go home to get it. Instead I ate what I have at work. Meaning no meat! I have in 32 years never gone more then a few hours without meat. Meat and rice is a big big part of my life.

For the last year I don’t eat meat at breakfast other then egg whites - is that meat? IDK

But today I said, ok, 95% of my co-workers are either vegan or raw food eaters - the owners are. THEY ARE STICK THIN!

So I said to self, try it. Try a work day with no meat.

I ate cottage cheese, some funky non-fat organic yogurt I threw out (smells like butt - kid you not), raw carrots, a whole can of garbanzo beans for breakfast and lunch, goji berries, yogi tea, green tea, coffee with cream, organic unsweeatened peanut butter, raw cacao ( raw chocolate best for you) and 2 cups of cherries.

My assessment: I FEEL GREAT AND FULL!

Tomorrow I try again. I never thought in my lifetime that I would even attempt to not eat meat. It’s such a big part of my life. :) Never know until you try.

Yep, I just want to know, there are some haters out there.  You all talk crap about me, wrote mean stuff about me and even ran me under the bus - SO why you checking my profile and blog out?  Keep on moving and skip it!!! You all know who you are.  You don’t like me, let alone comment on my stuff and if it is it’s negative and I delete that stuff, so why hate and come to look at what I write?

Ohhhhhhh, that’s right…..wannna know if my paint dries faster then yours.   The answer is yes!!  Yep, I going to keep it real and say, don’t check it out.  If you don’t like then stay away from me!

you tell em….i go days without meat…and i dont even notice it….i mean i like it…but its not something i crave unless its like brisket, pulled pork, bacon, cheeseburger, or fried chicken…so i guess i do crave quite a bit of it but i dont usually act on my meat cravings as much as my carb cravings…i dunno…anyways…good luck with the no meat thing!

  7. chunkymunky @ July 9th, 2009

Well done on the new food plan. I love eating raw and rarely eat meat - maybe once every 2 weeks or so, My addiction is Sushi/Sashimi!! YUM! I prefer all my veggies raw, so it’s a great option. You’re an inspiration!!

  8. 09ISTHETIME @ July 9th, 2009

  11. screamdevl2 @ July 9th, 2009

I never really thought about eating raw and clean. When I think about it, I think of cardboard and no taste. You are an inspiration! Looks like I need to do a little more research and try it out myself. I am sick of feeling slugish. I guess you really are what you eat!

  12. LittleFlower @ July 9th, 2009

See… the only meat I really eat is chicken, and it’s my biggest source of protein… I couldnt give that up! Sounds like you got a great mix of food in yesterday. Hope things went well when you got home after work.

  13. Dagny @ July 9th, 2009

I used to not eat meat, or less meat. I thought it would help me lose weight…I guess I was anti-low carb when I believed that meat made us fat and not carbs?
haha well I am still more towards the veggie side but now I eat tuna, fish ect to keep my protein up. But I enjoy my no meat meals! :)

  14. Lori @ July 9th, 2009

    hey Nancy good for you
if its something you really want to do and you are working at it I give you kudos
I know meats a big part of your diet but look at you cutting way back WOW!!!!

for me its not hard at all to go without meat

I think I could be a vegetarian very easily its the lack of protein I have a hard time with.
    I gotta work on that

    good luck today!
    Hugs

  15. keeponmoving @ July 9th, 2009

well done keep it up :)

  16. grapeape @ July 9th, 2009

Luckily you pay attention to your overall health. Lots of vegans (not the people who eat eggs, milk, and cheese, but the hard core ones) are so thin because they are sickly. Their bodies are missing things they need. I think you did wonderful! You can do anything you put your mind to, girl!

  17. beckyboo @ July 9th, 2009

I dont eat a lot of meat either and go several days without it at times. I liek meat though, esp pork ;) Hey, my mom gave me a steamer but I am not really sure what do to with it?

  18. meltingaway @ July 9th, 2009

I went meatless for a couple weeks years ago. I felt amazing, but missed chicken and steak too much to stick with it. You have me thinking about doing it again. Could give me the extra boost to get back to losing 3 to 5 pounds each week again.

  19. fitin2009 @ July 9th, 2009

Wow, you always have the best blogs :) . I almost bought that yogurt yesterday, but something told me not to. I am glad you are up here giving wonderful advice and opinions. I value them, because you been where I am today. You are a breath of fresh air to know there is light at the end of this long tunnel. Forget the haters, and you keep rocking.

  20. 8crazyemotions @ July 9th, 2009

That’s awesome about the no meat! Meat is also a big part of my life too. I’ve always thought that I could never go with out meat. But you’ve inspired me to try it! lol.. Now I may not do it more than a couple days… but I think it might be something to try!

  21. coolbird30 @ July 9th, 2009

Jo!! Good to see you!! Nancy, so proud of you, at least you still tried the stinky butt yogurt! Awesome! Glad you had enough energy to do your classes, too!! Awesome!! Yes, haters LEAVE MY NANCY ALONE!!!

  22. sabrinaBB @ July 9th, 2009

Sorry about those haters…I seem to miss all the fun…but that might be a good thing ;) Don’t worry about them hun :) Only people you care about can hurt you ;) :D
I think I could go without meat for a week or two. I am not a big meat fan, but once in a while I like some chicken or pork. Hope your new “meal plan” keeps working for you :)

  23. astrongnewme @ July 9th, 2009

What kind of energy bar did you try?

I have a person who swears that she hates me through and through, but she is on my blog here every day, several times a day :) I chalk it up to good old fashioned jealousy, and you likely should too. :)

  24. mika @ July 9th, 2009

good job with the no meat thing. i think i could only do that if there were no way for me to get to any meat, lol.. naww, but it would be sooooo HARD for me. you have a big variety of things you eat. i need to start experiencing with new foods. i just hate wasting money if i dont like the way things taste.

shake them haters off. we love you gurl!! ;)

  25. MayaIsReady @ July 9th, 2009

Don’t know what’s going on, but most of the people on here don’t realize you’re a veteran of BuddySlim, therefore in return know a LOT of people on here, know a lot about weight loss (thus reason why you lost the weight), you’re constantly here to support others, you’re positive and in return, people note you the most (I think you’re even one of the most popular on here, based on the front page, lmao) so they’re jealous. Remember that feelings run deep and high here because of our struggles, so they’re bound to be jealous and throw in a bit of hate until you give them attention! Don’t feed the monster, Nancy. ((hugs)) Ignore it.

  26. sabinaboo @ July 9th, 2009

that’s awesommmeeee! i did notice that when i cut calories i end up cutting much of meat out(aka mom’s cooking, lamb, beef, fried fish and so on) but luckily i still get enough protein or so the food journal says loland ur right the haters on here are something else!

  27. AuntTeeTee @ July 9th, 2009

I am not a big fan of meat really. I can live without it. Carbs are my butt kicker. lol Good for you girl! Sounds like a great day! :)

Jealousy is a terrible thing. I have never understood anyone’s need to hurt someone else. You have the right attitude though..they can just stay away!!! ;)

  28. crashboombang @ July 9th, 2009

I’m too new here to know about any of the drama, so I can’t really comment on that! But, yeah, there are days where I just don’t eat meat, and it just feels like I’m giving my digestive system a rest or something. I think it’s more work for our bodies to process than plant-type foods, maybe?
(And I’m not jealous of you…I want to *be* you!!)

  29. Raytchaelle @ July 9th, 2009

It sucks that people have to be negative… I don’t get it. But that’s their loss not yours! :) Personally, I love meat and would never dream of giving it up… then again I might come to a point some day when I give it a try! Great blog! :D

  30. SUZYSECRET @ July 9th, 2009

I wish i could eat as good as you. I don’t eat so much red meat as it kills my stomach. I live in the Mid-west and Organic food is very expensive here.
As fair as the people who are very negative….tell them to BITE YOU they are not worth it.

  31. khmerbeauty @ July 9th, 2009

    Kerstin - too funny!!

OK, well, one day I did take a whiff of someone’s bootay but by accident and boy I won’t forget that whiff for as long as I live. It’s a good thing I love that person soooo much I can overlook it. ;)

  32. khmerbeauty @ July 9th, 2009

MJ, If I don’t eat enough carbs for my exercise I resort to my box of APEX energy bar. This is probably the only time I eat simple sugar but because I need energy ASAP, it works. And I eat it between classes for a pick me up.

    220 calories

  33. dawnrenee1313 @ July 9th, 2009

Very odd…A friend just sent me this article on raw food today…

Been thinking of doing some research on it to see if its legit, but it sounds like it!!

  35. vabetty25 @ July 10th, 2009

I tried some organic yogurt at costco last week did not like it at all. At least I got to try and find out with out buying a case before finding out.

  36. kyliejo @ July 10th, 2009
