A buddyslimmer made me appreciate this site; money the root of all evil!

Oh my Lord, Blaithin, did I not just miss my outside run this morning, I overslept and completely late for work!

Rod and I watched the “BIG Announcement” for John and Kate Plus 8.  It’s such a sad story to watch.  No fairytale ending but a divorce.  I remember watching it from the beginning when it was just a documentary versus a show.  I followed the show for the most part until recently because I’m so busy.  I enjoyed the show before the hype and media blitz about supposed affairs, facelifts, body lifts, etc.

From Rod’s eyes, John left the marriage because he got fed up with Kate’s controlling ways.

I told him to not be so  judgmental because we don’t know the whole story.  Kate is a strong woman.  She has to be to take care of so many kids.  However, I can see the stardom got to her as well.  But why is it when a woman is strong she has to be a called a bi***?  It’s sad that she’s looked upon as the  bad guy.  John is no angel himself.  Why their marriage broke up?  Money and a host of other reason!  Money is good and evil.  Here’s a couple who saw an opportunity to make money and provide a better life for not a couple but 8 kids!!  Maybe greed got the best of them, I don’t know.  What I do know is those kids will suffer the consequences of this break-up.  I wish them all the best.

I wonder if it’s worth it?  I asked Rod, would it be worth it for us?  The money?  He said no!!! NO $$$$$ in the world could replace a broken family like that.

See, Rod and I - we broke at the moment.  He doesn’t eat my food because it’s either healthy or Cambodian food which is hard on his nose.  So he’s eating cup of noodles and the beginning of peanut butter sandwiches.  Can’t make him eat what he doesn’t want to.

But I can tell you this much, beside WILDFIRE LOL, We are pretty happy.  We have close to nothing but we smile and hug and just funny together.  I can’t ask for more then that.

Well, I said something on someone’s blog that was off the wall.  I blame it on WILDFIRE.  This person, instead of blasting me on that blog, did something so almost unbuddyslim-like!  He wrote me a personal email.  That was sweet and that is a true gentlemen.  Again an act like this makes me think twice about leaving buddyslim.  Because you know for me being here sometimes I have to deal with negativity that is thrown at me and I’ve gotten fed up a few times and was ready to bounce.  Thanks buddy!!

Anyhow, no run due to sleep. :)  I have a Pilates and a SET class which is a combination of Steps and weights to do tonight.  2 hours of fun fun fun!!!!!!!

    hey there
I was pretty sad to hear about the sad situation about Jon and kate. Don’t care why they broke up it is sad no matter what. My husband and I have been through more troubles anyone can think of and we just fight. Work it out no matter what. Then again we only have each other and noone else really to fall on. As for money. We have been well off and we have been hurting for money (right now hurting) and when we are struggling we always are happier stupid as it sounds. We appreciate the little things, a walk, a picnic, a hike a good dinner with the family…
When we had plenty of moeny we needed to have the best of the best which caused trouble at every corner. Well a bit more money would be nice but oh well LOL..
Okay this turned out to be a novel here. I am trying to procrastinate my push and sit ups LOL

Well I have not seen the show, but I do know money is not happiness. I am near broke too, and it just doesn’t bug me.
I also want to say it is totally unfair for a strong woman to get labeled like that. Why does this happen? Are men too intimidated by that? One of my hot buttons.
Don’t apologize for Wildfire, we love her.
Someone emailed you? Better than doing it publicly.
    Missed you!

I quit watching the show after all the drama within the family began. I liked it when it was about the kids. We’re pretty broke too, but oh well. There is more to life than that!

I’ve never seen the show but wanted to say money is the #1 cause for divorce. you guys sound like you have a strong relationship so I doubt if your honey would allow money or anything else interfere with you two!

I too have watched the show from the beginning and it is horrible that their situation is put on blast for the rest of us to revel in. I feel horrible for any family having to deal with hard times. Those poor children are going to be so effected by this. At least they put their children first and have realized that yelling in front of their kids is not good for them to be exposed to.

I watched that episode. Broke my heart. My husband and I feel Jon got fed up. She never seemed to appreciate him. Not that it makes it right. They keep saying the show was done to support their family..but it also tore their family apart. Not worth 3 million A YR. I just keep thinking about those children. Also, I wonder what they did behind the scenes. Any counseling..etc.

I know, I feel bad for the kids. That will make me SO mad if he ends up getting with that school teacher, that is NOT cool. He is the father to 8 children, he does not need to be making any more!
Money and jobs is such a huge problem with so many, I pray it gets better soon.

Oh no PB!!! I hope your ready for extra cardio girl!

I feel sorry for that couple and see them doing the show for a good reason, to make sure they have money towards a college education if I had 8 kids I would be worried how I would send them all to school. It’s a sad story I feel for them, but then again I am so sick of hearing about them I wish the nasty tabloids would leave them alone.
