Rodney sat me down and said to me, look you need to take one more day off exercise. You are not ready to go back. You have to get used to eating first. Sunday - Sunday ok? As much as I wanted to jump up and go to the gym, I have to listen to my boyfriend. He only wants what’s best for me. So I did not go to the gym. Well, we did have sexercise - does that count? Oh yes, my baby has been waiting patiently for some and he ate peanut butter. That’s double whammy for me.
I decided to NOT eat at the Cambodian celebration. I can only imagine how many calories I would take in. Instead I ate before I went there and after I got home. I spent more time walking around enjoying music, playing with my niece and nephews and meeting some of my brother’s girl’s family. I didn’t stay out there too long. I just don’t like being in the sun for a long period of time.
I decided for a while check in with sparkspeople and see how well I’m doing calorie counting wise instead of guestimating. I was in for a bit of shocker. What I though was about a low calorie day turned out to be a high calorie day. I guess the dried filet fish pushed me over the top.
Because it’s before my last eat at 9pm I was able to adjust my final meal so that I don’t go over the recommended 1730 calories. Instead of eating my planned brocooli and beef stir fried with rice I will eat grilled chicken breast w/ rice and cucumber. Whew saved for today.
I can also see a trend, a trend that has always been hard for me: eating light during the day and heavy at night. This is always my problem. Even if I eat heavy during the day I still eat heavy at night. It really does open my eyes to what I’m truly taking in. I guess I can do this for a week and see where I’m at. I’m still eating moderately. There is no food restriction. I still feel free with my eating. I just realized even a good day really isn’t as good as I thought. The great news! I am within’ range for carbs fat and protein.
As promised to Rod I AM going to the gym tomorrow. It’s going to be interesting to see what SparksPeople tells me about my food intake. I tend to eat a heavier breakfast. My plan tomorrow is to eat about 2000 calories. This will make it easy to get some weights and yoga in tomorrow. Again, getting up real early to eat some eggs and oatmeal for energy.

Wow, am I the first to post!?
Sparkpeople says I should eat 1,290 - 1,640 but livestrong says at least like 1600 before any exercise…then I need to eat more! So I aim for the higher end too…
Hey Dagny - yes you are LOL! Livestrong gives me a higher calorie count too but I decided to keep going with my SP account. It’s hard enough keeping up with buddyslim let alone two other sites.
On my active days like tomorrow I guess I’ll do 2000 calories and be ok.
Good luck with this girl!!!
awwwwwwww…it stole my comment
I think you did good. And I’m glad you took it easy today, your body prob. needed it bad.
Have a GREAT rest of thhe weekend!!
Yeah just rest and you can see Jim tomorrow!
I have to log my cals when I get off balance b/c my brains thinks I am hungry even when I’ve eaten 2100 cals…
…Lives in CA and does not like the sun…
Woah Nancy, you didn’t eat at the Cambodian celebration??? A-AMAZING. It really is true willpower to be able to stick to your guns and keep up the good work you did. Besides, you’re still healing from the food poisoning. Do you really think your stomach could have endured all of that food? Maybe it would have worked against you!!!!! Good going girl.
sexercise…. hahaha loves it, well as long as you got something in :p
and I’m with Becky you live in beautiful Cali and don’t like the sun! Crazy Nancy.
It’s great that you could enjoy the celebration without pigging out on food, having fun with your friends and family just having fun - AWESOME!
Nice save on your meals yesterday. It sure pays to keep track and to look up the nutritional info. doesn’t it.
Have fun with Jim today.
Hugs
Lori
Girl, I love your free spiritedness ! I too , confess that I do terrific all day long with my shakes and then kind of lose it at night time when all the days anxiety hits me like a freight train ! So if you get any great ideas for shutting my mouth after the 9:00pm time let me know ! That is seriously what is holding me back from dropping a lot of pounds because the program that I talked to you about on our private message works but then comes that evening meal and all goes to Heel afterwards !Hope this helps you feel like you are not alone , cuz you are not ! Hugs, Kimmi
Hey Nancy… think it is a good idea to rest up today from the exercise. Hope you are feeling better!
Glad you had fun at the New Year Celebration…sounds fun!
Have a super week!

Glad you listened to Rod. I know you miss your workouts, but you need to let your body recover. Good job resisting the food!! Love the sexercise!! LOL
I’m so glad you’re feeling better!
