INTENTIONAL 5000 calorie day; 4 mile run, Step and Yoga

Saturday I am doing something I’ve never done in my 4 yr weight loss journey: I am going to eat without any worries.  I am going to eat and eat some more! :)

My plan is to get up at 5:00 AM eat a huge breakfast  of 4 egg omelet with onions and cilantro, 2 servings of oatmeal. 600 calories

Then I’m going to hit the gym at 7:30 am for a 4 mile run, 1 hr step and 1 hr yoga.  I’ll have a gatorade in between cardio sessions

Then I’m coming home to eat some more.  I have leftover baked chicken, rice and dumplings I will have for post workout food.

Then lunch is avocado, more steamed dumplings, sweet potato - steamed, chicken and rice.

Then snack on as many fuji apples and strawberries - as much I can.  Then dinner is more chicken with rice and dumplings.

And I’ll treat myself to some ice cream.  The last food for me is probably stir fry beef and veggies + rice.

Why I want to do this?  Because I have to allow myself to eat as I want.

Friday I wanted to binge badly but I held on.  Blogging about it saved me.  Now it’s time to binge but binging on good food.  I want to just go for it.  See how much I can eat without feeling guilty.

I’ll let you know at the end of the day how it went.  I want to conquer my food issues.  It’s time! 4 years of this and it’s time to let it go!

WISH ME LUCK! YOU ALL KNOW I’LL KEEP YOU POSTED!

BTW -  YES I’M CRAZY!!! :) lol

mother of God Nancy… what on earth are you doing getting up so early on a Saturday morning?! That’s the weekend girlie…. rest time…. !!!! I’d love to have you’re confidence to eat so much food. I’m always afraid of eating too much. I did out a food plan for the week off work, trying to keep to my work routine so I dont overeat.

Good luck with all the food today! Just dont get a sick tummy!

You are an interesting lady. I mean what you are doing is a bit shocking and I see it is for you, but it also makes people think about their fear of food/calories and that is a good thing, shake things up in heads everywhere. I mean you are accepting the fact that could gain a little, embracing food and enjoying. My question is, is it possible to enjoy a large amount of food? I feel so full when I eat a large amount of food. It just feels SO FILLING. However, you exercise a lot more then me so your body might want extra. You know yourself best. And life is one fabulous experiment!

I very much see the value in addressing the fears. But I have to say, I am feeling the fear by eating 1800 caloires (well yesterday it ended up being more…hehe) Thank you for being such a thought provoking woman.

My only thoughts from an academic point of view is this amount of food requires a lot of digestive juice. I hope you get plenty of fiber and you have LOTS of stomach acid.

Hey, with this energy surplus, you could actually gain muscle! With your activity and weight training, surely you will put on a nice pound of muscle… And that little baby will end up working for you.

    Enjoy and savor every bite!!!

Have a great day Nancy. ;)

I really think this works Nancy! I allow myself this once a week or so and it keeps me on track the rest of the week. YAY! Have a good weekend :)

I take one day “off” every week. It is definitely a sanity saver! As long as I work out that day, then I eat whatever I want, and get right back on my food plan the next day. It works great for me.

Good luck with it!! Text me later to tell me how it goes!! Love ya loads!!!

You probably will end up losing weight faster by doing this… You are confusing your body by eating so much but you are burning it off so your metabolism is going to be speedy~ I think every one should do this but only about once a week because it does boost the metabolism… I’m glad you are setting this example because so many people, like I used to do, deprive themselves… Its funny how all last week I didn’t count calories and I finally broke my plataue by losing 2 pounds. We need to trust our bodies more. We need to pay attention to what our body is really telling us before we eat and ignore the labels once in a while…
    Have fun!!!!!

    Hey girl,
Anything is worth a shot. I also would like to have a day where you dont have to worry about food. I’m very interested in what this does for your piece of mind, does it make you relax more around food..etc.
Best of luck to ya girl.

Hey, I did something like your eating plan last Sunday. I didn’t wind up binging on cr@p but it was nice to cheat within reason, I felt satisfied while not feeling bad about myself. I suggest everyone do this every ONCE in awhile. It helps prevent the eating of mass quantities of unhealthy foods every single day.
