IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO LOSE WEIGHT; Killing 2 birds with 1 STONE
Dinner for breakfast completely worked! HEHE I liked it! I liked getting my veggies and meat out of the way early on. I liked eating a few servings of oatmeal for lunch and not feel deprived of my protein. Well, it’s not something I do every day only on my very active cardio days. As I said, my Russian girlfriend is so RIGHT! Eat what you want early and you have the rest of the day to burn it off.
I’m excited and a bit anxious about Tuesday. I told my Rod the plan is for him to drop me off at work. I will run/jog the 5 miles home. Hey what better way to be environmentally friendly, contribute to saving mama earth, save gas and money and GET MY EXERCISE IN AND GET HOME ALL IN ONE!!!! I also have 340 push-ups planned throughout the day. What better way to hit all my goals in one day right?
ONLY ONLY if I can will do weights for the day will I do them once I get home.
Brihanna, I used www.mapmyrun.com to plan my run. It’s a great tool and accurate! Try it.
Yesterday it saddened me as I read blog after blog about giving up, how difficult this is and wanting to give up……..etc.
I also admire my fellow buddies for pulling through and blog support! That’s how we do it!! We help each other through hard times.
THIS IS A COMPLETE MENTAL GAME! Every day you have to look in that mirror and want it enough for you!!!! For you and no one else. You have to play the game each day. Know what your goals are, adjust as needed and come out a winner - one point at a time!!
If you give up - what then? What do you have? Weight gain is 100% guarantee - that’s the only guarnatee! So don’t give up and don’t give in.
It’s March - get back that fighting spirit you had in January!
Personal note - for me I fight the battle each day, sometimes each second. I just know that I am in a better place. There is no way I will give up. NO WAY!! Even if it takes me 2 more years to lose 10 lbs - I will fight and never give up. BECAUSE GIVING UP MEANS GIVING UP ON ME. IF I GIVE UP ON ME, I CAN’T EXPECT MY LOVED ONES TO NOT DO THE SAME! Like love, if you don’t love yourself, then don’t expect anyone else to love you. WE ARE WORTH IT! And that’s why are are all here; to win and conquer this battle once and for all.
Like the old saying, it takes a village to raise a child; WELL, IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO LOSE WEIGHT AND KEEP IT OFF! WE ARE THAT VILLAGE!

GREAT BLOG!
Good luck with your goals tomorrow. I know you can do it. I guess we can call ourselves the Village People? LOL
You put it perfectly Nancy. We CAN’T give up on ourselves. And YAY on running home from work—that is awesome. I think this running thing is seriously going to get you to your goal. You are doing awesome.
You look so great in the new picture!! 5 miles + 340 push ups! you’re definitely a super woman!
Love the blog! Thanks for that link. Once the weather gets a little nicer here I want to try running outside (not sure if I’ll like it or not).
Well said Nancy!! I had those weeks when I felt sooo down on this journey-remember??? You pulled me back up…told me eventually things would go in the right direction-and it did! Persistence..Patience..it has payed off!! No stopping now!! No way!
I am excited to hear how your day goes tomorrow with the run home! Good for you! Enjoy!!

nail on the head nancy… that’s what you hit yesterday with the blog.
So, according to your Russian friend, I could eat my pizza in the morning and still be ok weight-wise?! hmmmmmmmmmm….. interesting…. only messin!
And you’re right too about the whole support thing. We all have our bad days, and the support from Buddies here is so important to pull us out of those slumps. But when we feel better, we have to turn around and help those up that are feeling down too. It works both ways.
Hey thanks for posting that!! That was great encouragement.
I know i struggle every second…its a tough battle!!
Great goal for the day. How far is work from home?
AMEN~ have fun with your run!
it snapped up my comment!
I thank God each and every day for you and the rest of the tribe and for everyone here on BS!! If it weren’t for all of you combined, I would have given up months ago. I haven’t seen the scale move much, but I have lost over 10 inches last month alone, so that’s a good step. It saddened me yesterday reading so many blogs about wanting to give up… I hope those gals don’t. We’re here for you.. reach out and take our hands so we can pull you up!! ((((((Everyone)))))
I love walking after work myself, and I think you folks inspired me to try to start running after work as well - that 8 weeks newb program fits very well with the time allocation I get between getting out of the office and having to be home to cook dinner.
Interesting that dinner for breakfast worked for you. I am still concentrating on putting the bulk into my lunch for now and not doing any night binges, but I will watch your experience closely
Cheers, and here is for the new Spring and renewal of the commitments! Just think of those summer dresses to be worn oh so soon folks!!!
As usual - Excellent Blog! Enjoy your run home - what an awesome idea. BTW, I actually thought of you Saturday morning and did 10 push ups - no where near where you are, but for me - just starting out, I was proud of myself.
Have a great day!
Amen, woman!!! Love you!
Love your blog Nancy!
You are so right: NEVER GIVE UP!
Running home from work sounds like a great idea. I was thinking of using my bike to and from work, but we have lot of rain and as lucky as I am, it would rain the days I take the bike. Probably the same with running. But I will think about it. hmmmm…..I’ll check out how many miles it is right now.
NEVER GIVE UP!
What did I say about my “luck” same with my comments
Okay, lets try it again:
Love your blog Nancy!

I feel better for reading this, I do, thankyou. How do u manage so many pushs up, how long do they take to do? I can bearly get through 20!
Hope your jog home from work is nice
I love this blog because you are so right and I wish some of my buddies wouldn’t give up so easily. When they are giving up, they are just giving up on themselves…and what the heck…Don’t they think they are worth fighting for?!?!?! You are right and every day is a struggle and there are times that I am not happy with how far that I have come in the amount of time that I have invested but then I realized that I have accomplished something…and something is better than nothing and eventually, EVENTUALLY with HARD work…I WILL GET TO MY GOALS THAT I DESIRE AND HAVE SET! Thank you for the wonderful blog
Great idea to exercise your way home…good for you
I wish I could run outside right now!! This morning it felt like 1 degree in Boston. That’s just not fair
I’m really looking forward to the warm spring weather so I can run…especially by the water in the summer time. I will use that website you posted too. Thanks!
Seriously, I have felt sluggish lately. I can’t really explain why. I mean I know it’s because I’m not giving 100% like before. I need to do this for myself & no one else. I need to pick it up again and kick it up some notches! Don’t worry Nancy…you will be proud of your girl!
I HAVE MISSED YOU! I HAVE MISSED YOUR BLOGS! I am in seventh heaven right now just being logged on to BS. Nancy girl, this is exactly what I needed today. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
