How exercise & buddyslim love saved me! LUV U GUYS!

I have to tell you how honored I am to be a part of this community. The tribe love -KAMA, ANJ, LORI, DEBBIE, NICOLE AND TRACEY all pulled together and refuse to let me crawl into a hole and hibernate.

Buddyslim - you guys I love you! You gave me the kick I needed when for once I started doubting myself.

I used to deal with depression for 10 years. These last few days was hard but with you all by my side I’m better!!

My bootay went out there and did it!

Before I forget - yes I ate a ton before classes:

Organic whole wheat pasta w/ meat & onion sauce, 4 kiwis, 1 large banana, 2 hard boiled eggs, 1 thigh and leg chicken - steamed, a ton of water and some cheeze it.

THAT WAS NOT THE RIGHT MIX GUYS!

See I read an article this morning that pushed more protein then carbs for exercise - well I tried it today and it didn’t work.  Next Monday I will go back to my high carb low protein for a 3 hour day.

I did two classes - the hardest which was Step and Kickboxing. I’m home now and in 3 hours I will do my own 1 1/2 hr yoga w/ Rodney Yee dvd’s.

Tomorrow I am taking a day off cardio and just do weights and push-ups.

Well - what can I say but to thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!!!!!!!! I needed you and you came through.

NOW OFF TO READ BLOGS AND PLAY IN THE FORUMS!!!!!

I noticed also this weekend how food makes or breaks your workout. I’m learning! I’m glad you are finding the support here because I notice how much you support everyone else.

  14. lissykeeper @ February 24th, 2009

Ahh, Shucks! Your making me blush! LOL! I’m glad your buds were able to help out. You help and inspire and support so many. It was your turn.

Hope things get better for you!

BTW, super jealous over the super cheap kiwi’s! Love me some kiwi, but they cost a dollar a piece here!!! I just can’t afford that very often.

I”m so glad that you have found strength and support here.

If you like yoga dvd’s try “bryan Kest” (might have to buy it on Amazon. Get the “sweat factory”. This is a real butt kicker (with push-ups, between salutations.

I love it. Maybe ask your yoga goddess about him.

Glad everything worked out for you today. You must know how much we all love & support you-ALWAYS!!!

Hey-you tried the protein way, and you know it doesnt work for you. Carbs on Monday for you!! :)

    Take care!

Ewww… I can’t do lots of protein either. I tried it. It makes me feel “heavy” and slow. I think the best mix for an active person (and I’m not even as active as you! LOL) is lots of carbs, a moderate amount of protein and a little fat. Maybe 65-25-15. I do think it’s important to get some protein in AFTER a workout though, to help build those sexy muscles!! ;)

You’re doing GREAT Nancy!! I’m glad you didn’t let those blues keep you down. So strong girl!! ;)

  18. ready2bskinE @ February 24th, 2009

oopsss… 65-25-15 Doesn’t add up to 100. LOL :D You know what I mean though. Lots of carbs, some protein, and a little fat. ;)

  19. ashleymeyer @ February 24th, 2009

Great Job! I knew you could pull yourself out of that slump! Glad you are feeling better! :)

  22. harleygirl @ February 24th, 2009

Now there is my Nancy girl! So glad that we were there to help and that you asked for it when you felt you needed it. Sorry the high protien didn’t work for you girl, but if you have something that works then stick with it huh? LOL
    Love ya!

  23. astrongnewme @ February 24th, 2009

I just read in Runner’s World that runners need more carbs than most folks, so I imagine that would apply to someone like you who does a lot of cardio as well.

You know we love you! Would not let you sink in a hole!
