320 push-ups & back to goofy me! :) *Salsa time*

WOW!! It feels so good to be back at work, chatting with the chatterbox tribe mates and being on here with you guys!!!!!

I am refreshed and ready to do it!!!

320 - yep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! got that extra 20 in I wanted to meet goal of increase!! Whoo hooo I love the push-ups (yes regular ones) because I know someone is going to ask me that questions and I did them with better form then before. I told my triber mate Nicole that I was taking it low low low to the ground and bumped my head a couple of times. That’s the goofy me back.

I love my oatmeals and apple combo in the morning! It gives me a ton of energy.

I’M BACK AND BETTER THEN EVER!!!!!

So I was going to do pure weights today but decided - Salsa baby Salsa!!! See it’s fun but I don’t sweat like I normally do in kickboxing. Good fun cardio I can do for an hour.

I notice a bunch of people are seeking motivation……you have to find it within yourself. You need to look in that mirror and say - I can do it right now!!! Not tomorrow - right now!!! Today is the day. So go out there and do what you have to do to get your workout in and food in!!!!!

BEST OF LUCK!!!!!!

how the hell does someone do 320 puchs upp in a row or in sets.// like eff the most i can ever do is 3 sets of ten and im spent lol pushups r damn hard

  2. khmerbeauty @ February 24th, 2009

You have to break it up into groups. For me I do 20, 25 and now 26 at a time. And every tine I take a break or leave my desk I just get 25 in real quick.

It’s all about building your strength from the ground up. Not easy but the more you do the better.

Nancy, you’re silly! Quit bumping your head! Although…. that does explain a lot! LOL One day I hope to grow up to be just like you! Me and my wall pushups will catch up to you one day!! HAHA!!

  6. TerisJourney @ February 24th, 2009

You mean you actually do push ups at work? In a skirt? OMG!

Anyway - love the last paragraph of your blog…so very true!

  7. DeannaLynnCox @ February 24th, 2009

I’m glad all of our motivation yesterday helped you out a bit. You are an inspiration to me! Keep up the awesome work. Enjoy the salsa and weights tonight. Today is still looking beautiful here so that bike ride is still in sight! I’m excited for it so I’m hoping Josh will be into it tonight…again doing stuff around here by yourself isn’t the best idea especially out by the lake. So if he wont’ then I’m stuck in the house. Blah!

Keep up the awesome work and motivation…do you eat plain oat meal and raw apple slices? I think I might try putting oatmeal in my diets in the morning. I sometimes do these shakes…do you think I could blend oatmeal up in them too?

  8. khmerbeauty @ February 24th, 2009

Yes - at work in my office. I have heels on today - but on my push-ups days I wear jeans. :) Oh I have my own office so I shut the door and do it. :)

  9. khmerbeauty @ February 24th, 2009

I eat plain oatmeal and steamed apples. What I do is once a week cut up 5 or 6 big organic fuji apples into tiny pieces and steam it in my Chinese steamer. Every time I have my oatmeal I warm up the apples and put a cup in there. Lots of food and filling too. :) Try it! :)

320 push ups!!! I do 30 and my arms are ready to fall off! That is a lot of determination! You must be packing some major guns! Dang! Maybe I will make it to 35 today! :)

  13. khmerbeauty @ February 24th, 2009

Determination and practice! :) It takes a lot of practice and will power. It’s doable - just have to keep going and taking it 1 push up at a time.

  14. grapeape @ February 24th, 2009

OMG!! I can only do 1! You are awesome!!!

  15. krn @ February 24th, 2009

Graet job on the push ups.

I think about your push-ups every time I plank, sometimes I’ll plank a minute or so, then do a couple push ups. My triceps are not strong enough to go clear down more than a couple times, but I can do quite a few if I only go halfway down… any suggestions (like don’t plank first? But really, they doesn’t really work my triceps, so, maybe not)

  22. LaTina @ February 25th, 2009

I microwave my apples… till they are just tender to a fork… I like them a bit firm still when I eat them…. tide you over till Nancy’s reply ;)

  23. saseangel @ February 25th, 2009

I’ve been down in the dumps and I felt like I needed modivation, so here I am reading your bolgs and then you last paragraph hit me (that that truck on sunday :P ) and I am the only one that can make me work towards my goal. No one else. :D I need to put post it’s all over the apartment to remind me to jump on the eliptical. I can’t stand oat meal :( Well I had some from Starbucks those were good. But I am lazy to make them at home.

  24. khmerbeauty @ February 25th, 2009

Tina, Deanna and Amber - What about steaming baking the a whole apple wrapped in tin foil to keep in the moisture instead? Tina’s idea is awesome too - microwave it.

If you have a rice cooker - you can use that to steam. My buddy Nicole steams her chicken with the rice cooker.

The Chinese steamer I have was $30 but so worth it. I will take a pic and post it for you guys. It’s my life saver - literally.

  25. khmerbeauty @ February 25th, 2009

Do the push-ups first then plank. What about do tri-cep dips to build your triceps then work on the push-ups?

  26. Violet @ February 25th, 2009

My husband read your blog with me and was like, “holy crap, I wouldn’t want to go against her! My son wants to know if you can do chin ups? How are you on crunches? Keep up the great work, you’re an inspiration to us all.

  27. khmerbeauty @ February 25th, 2009

    Hey Violet!

    I’m not that tough! :)

I’m not a fan of crunches. I do them if anything for warm ups. Unless you do all the different crunches for all your for upper, lower and sides then it’s not effective at all.

I practice Pilate and Yoga for core conditioning. My belief - we have more then abs to worry about. The core is my main focus because I use my core in all my workout routine from weights to kickboxing.

Thus - my crunches are great but I don’t put more then 2 minutes aside for it.

My personal opinion only and just me listening to my body and it’s needs.

  28. SlowMotion @ February 25th, 2009

Figured I’d come to your blog to say Thanks… A little thing like the ‘apple’ will help me greatly. I will have to figure out how to hide a CHEESE IT inside! (just kidding).. Thanks, you are a great inspiration on this site. ‘SlowMo’ Liz

  29. beckyboo @ February 25th, 2009

You are bouncing off the walls today girl and I LIKE it! I am a mope! Ha Ha Ha. Just a kind of blah day. Hope you have a nother good day tomorrow and the next day and the next and the next ha ha ha!

  30. kyliejo @ February 25th, 2009

Huh, weird. Well I said I don’t like cooked apples but I have tried your oatmeal lately. I think you should make your own steamer and sell it on TV. hehehe I can see you steaming random stuff…
    I missed yoga tonight :(
Going to try for pilates tomorrow because I want your core stength!

  31. texasgidget @ February 25th, 2009

Look at my girl go! I’ve GOT to start Pilates again! I know I can do it and it will help me tons!

  32. renee68 @ February 25th, 2009

Couldn’t agree with you more about the motivation advice..its so true!!!

    Love ya!

  33. Lori @ February 25th, 2009

Us and our blonde moments eh?
    LOL

Nancy I still have to try that apple in oatmeal.
I gotta remember to do it tomorrow.
    Sounds soooooo yummy.

    Have a good night!
    Lori

  34. easybreezy @ February 25th, 2009

I love my oatmeal and apple although I cook mine in the microwave but I didn’t think about the fact that I have a rice cooker. How do you store those apples for the week?? It takes to much time every morning to prepare that darn apple.

And might I add I can feel your energy coming off the screen! You were def full of it today glad to hear your back and taking no prisoners :p

  35. kamaperry @ February 25th, 2009
