Angel’s callin’ twice more! 11 MILE WEEKEND Satan on my heels
The last three days have been the worse in a long time for me. I wondered to myself could things get any worse? I’m doing my best to stay positive and keep on keeping on as the saying goes. Life gives me lemon I make lemon balls and juggle it all.
Twice on Sat and today I missed my usual workout of Step, Yoga and kickboxing. But as I read in a fitness article, it’s good to mix the indoors with the outdoors. That I did with success but not without soreness.
Like yesterday, I did not make it to my favorite Sunday kickboxing class. I woke up to the most delicous food but did not GIVE IN!!!! I have you guys to thank for it. I stayed strong and kept up with my fruits, miso soup and ate as light as possible.
It was another cloudy day so I took complete advantage of it. I figured yes, keep switching it up - From Monday to Thurs. of this coming week I have a lot of classes to attend and 2 runs to prepare for.
Why not? Why not try that walk again? I was on my 5th mile when Rod found me; It was a scheduled find - but I was hoping I was further along.
SECOND ANGEL CALLING WAS A PEE RUN! I grew up Baptist/Methodist and went to a couple other places. Yesterday I saw the church but sort of let it go…another time another day…until my moment with the “1st angel” from my previous blog. Today as soon as I saw the church I had the strongest urge to pee. None of the restaurants were open so I went and used their bathroom. I decided why not today? So I was introduced to one of the church leaders, gave them my information and we - Rod, his son and I are attending it next week.
After some tearful moments with the person I told her I have to go back on my walk but will be in touch. Sure enough - the exact same spot I met the girl yesterday I encountered negative energy via a young man that gave me the chills. I know who sent him my way. It never fails; the moment I invite Christ back in my life it always happens.
This weekend I went back to basics. I lost 40 lbs walking when I first started 4 yrs back. It was nice to do such a simple exercise and I enjoyed each walk tremendously.
So I am back on track!!!! I got the 5 miles in, weights and 1 hr yoga!!!
Tomorrow is healthy food fest time! I’m eating 1500 calories by 3pm for my 3 hours of kickboxing, step and yoga. WHOO HOOOOO!!! Can’t wait for it. I look forward to my Monday just like a kid in a candy store.

Again you give me goosebumps. I am so happy feels like God is just reaching out to you!!! I was and am weepy from talking to you and reading this, God is on our side, girl!!
Love how you jumped back on track, and I will be too. You are such an inspiration! Love you, Sista!!
Wow! Good luck this week Nancy!
Wow! Good luck this week Nancy!
Oh and I logged back in ’cause you said you were here, lol. Runs to forum.
I’m the first to comment? No way!
I knew, I couldn’t actually be the first! LOL! Let those 3 days go girl! You can never get them back anyway, so let them be in the past and just look forward to the future.
That’s awesome that you felt that tug towards the church today. In the middle of everything that you are trying to deal with, having His support is essential! I am in a similar place trying to rediscover that Christian joy that carries you through things. I’m glad that you met the angel yesterday and went into the church today.
Great job with your walk! Being outside, in the sun, can help improve your mood so much!
So glad you stayed away from the unhealthy food this morning. Good for you! *HIGH FIVE*hun! Keep up the awesome work. Very glad you got your 5 miles in today! That is great! Hope you enjoy going back to church.
Runs over and gives ya a hug for not giving in to all that food! Whew. Great job girl!
I am also one of those that enjoys my walks. Its so funny now, cause one of the first things I look at in the day is it gonna be pretty enough for a walk?? While we have had some pretty days, the wind has been something else. So, for now, enjoy those walks enough for both of us!
I hope you & Rod enjoy your visit to the church.
Stay strong girl, your doing it!
I am looking forward to Monday too.
Need to get back into weekly routine.
Walking really is one of the best forms of exercise I believe.
I am so happy the weathers finally getting nicer here and its daylight longer so that I can get back outside more often and enjoy the fresh air.
I miss it so much.
Good job with your eating Nancy
Be proud!
Good for you on mixing up your routines!!! A FIVE mile walk is awesome!! I think I am really doing something when I walk one mile. lol! Your doing great!

I hope you enjoy the church. I’ve yet to find one that is good for me but keep looking!
Aww nancy…love that you found a church. Yes I feel Satan attack me evrytime I try to get where I know I NEED to be…with God…with Gods people…in church. Satan is always prowling around, waiting to trip us up. Good you are aware of that…stay strong!
Wow Nancy we just talked about this in church yesterday; how God pursues us! Amazing!!
HA! I knew you would resist! Great job! So glad you stopped into that church. BIG HUGS to you hon!
Nancy, Nancy, do you have any idea how incredibly happy I am for you??????????????
Not just all your positive happy energy you share unconditionally, but the fact that you and Rodney are going to church next Sunday.
I try really hard not to preach, but I will say this from true life experience. When I had my open heart surgery, I knew I would die. I said goodbye to everyone, (they didn’t realize what my thoughts were) I prayed to God, if its my time take me. I was scared, but thought it was my time.
Well here I am today, stronger in my faith then ever. I believe God is my father, and he is holding my hand every step…I’m learning, growing, and loving life more then ever.
Enjoy each day Nancy, even with the ups and downs, thats Gods plan…he’s teaching us to become better people.
Ok…I did preach sorry
YIPPEE for Nancy and Rod!!!
Love ya girlfriend
Jane
So i had a lot of catching up to do with your life! I’ve missed way to much this weekend. So I’m glad you are starting to feel sorness again due to the change in exercise. That is great. I’m sure it does feel nice to have the pain come along with the hard work so that you know it’s working!
As for all of your angel calls these past few days that is fantastic! That woman is very strong and it had to of been a blessing to run into her. Also going up to the church must have been hard but to be able to go with Rod and his Son will be a blessing in itself!
As for your binge eating day…we all have them! You enjoyed it and then got it out of you because you knew you could only do it for a day. I’m sure it’s hard when others around you eat so much and such unhealthy things but maybe you can make an example of yourself?! LOL. Keep up the awesome work.
Nature rocks! I can’t wait to start going biking on the weekends outside in the beautiful open nature!
Glad you enjoyed your run and went into the church!
About the guy that you said had negative energy…maybe you should carry pepper spray or something, even a whistle when you go running alone? Do be careful!
Just woke up and Kama, I’m so glad I was able to share it with you yesterday.
Leona - you are too funny!
Thanks for the love.
Everyone - thank you so much for your love and support. It’s just one of those days and change is in the making for me. I have you guys to lean on during hard times.
Dagny - great idea but don’t tell Rod because he doesn’t want me out there because of the dangers out there.

I’m so happy for you, finding a church for you and your loved ones to attend. Yes - it is very true, that Satan will send people to try and attack you in any way shape and form that he can. It’s just what he does - particularly to people who are just finding their way back to Christ. Stay firm. You know who is strongest.
Love you!
