Can’t even think of a blond joke because she’s a brunette Asian…. Day 1 I win!

I got up at 5am to eat my best combo for my workouts: hard-boiled egg, 1/2 an apple and oatmeal.  7am got to the gym and did weights for lower body then an hour of kickboxing.

While waiting for class I was talking to a few participants.  Two girls said to me…you’ve changed your physique since I first saw you 6 months ago.  Really?  I asked because I have lost maybe 6 lbs since then but ante up on my routine and back to doubles and triple class.  She said she was scared but always wanted to ask me how I did it.  I told her about all the changes I’ve made and that in fact no weight has really been lost.  It’s all the core exercise I do in yoga, pilates, my weight routine and the different cardio classes I’ve been taking.  She asked about my weight routine and I gave her my advice.  Asked me about my food and all that good stuff.  So I gave them my recipe on how I did it.  Mind you, these are thin girls, they just want to tone up.  It was nice and I felt they really paid attention to what I have to say.

My belief free weights, body weight, machines - waste of time, different cardio routines to keep your body guessing, my babies yoga and pilates, swimming - a few more months…. and most of all LEARN FORM!!!!  I don’t care who you are, if you don’t know form and which muscle group you are suppose to focus on, then you are not getting 100% from your workout!

I had a great time in kickboxing  up until the stereo started messing up.  Well, as we did last week, we ended up doing it to no music.  Get this though, as we are doing the punches to no music this one girl yells out “SO THERE’S NO MUSIC?”  Asian Girl, I looked back at her and she had a stupid smile on her face.  Yah freakin’ Sherlock Holmes, can’t you see the instructor has been playing with the stereo for the last 5 minutes?????

Oh yes, I gave her the “I can’t BELIEVE YOU ASKED SUCH A STUPID QUESTION LOOK DUMMY!!!”

So I did my thing, hootin’ and hollarin’ along with other enthusiast - we made our own music damn it! :)  I haven’ sweated that much in a minute.

On the eating front - I stayed mentally strong!  My man came back with some burgers at midnight.  I told him eat it somewhere else but not around me.

Ate my needed 2000 calories no problem and last night I enjoyed to two pieces of chocolate I ate! :)

Debbie - I earns my quarter!!!! Day 1 = Nancy!!!!!

Monday is once again my favorite!!!  UH HUHH  3 hour block of Step, Kickboxing and Yoga!

    I think your man is crazy! HOW DO THEY EAT LIKE THAT AND STAY THIN??? My husband stopped eating like that around me b/c I whinned and carried on. :) hahaha
    Our stero keeps messing up at yoga, VERY annoying for yoga…I like her music. 24 Hour needs to fix their crap!
    I have zumba and hip hop tomorrow! YEA!!

    I agree with the form comment. I’ve been googling pilates planks trying to see how to improve my form! I think I am always up too high off the floor, but when I try to go lower I fall down. haha
    I wish I could actually go to a real pilates class…or maybe find a big mirror to do it in the check my form…hmmm

    As normal girl, your right on the money with the exercises..form is everything. While I know I have a ways to go with it on my dvd that i’ve fallen in love with…I am working on it!!

    With someone like that girl, it’s amazing they even notice. Imagine having 10 or so of them in a room while you try to teach Algebra II!! Not a pretty sight. I really have to watch my sarcasam when some ditzy 15 year old says “Ohh, you add them!” with complete amazement (or some other stuipid thing). As if I have’t been saying that for the last 10 min!

    Good job on saying no to that burger! Such a hard thing for me to say no to!!

    You’ve probably gained muscle and lost fat, that happened to me in the past (and it was checked on a special machine) the scale was not moving but I was more toned and fit.

    so are free weights-like dumbbells- not a good workout tool? I was thinking of buying some -5 or 10 pounds- to try to work my upper body (triceps) but if you think they are not effective I won’t!
    I also searched my library’s catalog online and they have 2 pilates videos and a book! I’m going to check those out asap!

    Dagny, lower your bootay but also use your core to hold you up when you are doing planks. I do agree, you need to get a mirror from that thrift shop you go to all the time. It’s the only way to check it.

    Oh, dumb bells are free weights silly girl! Yes, do get a light set and a heavy set. :) SMART KITTY!

    I’ve been catching up on all your blogs and I loved reading everyone of them. I think it’s so sweet how you dedicated one to your Rod and he almost looks just like him, but your right he looks better. He sounds like the PERFECT man and he has found the perfect woman you two sound like you fit perfectly together yay for you and finding such perfectness.

    Thanks for posting a blog on gas one because it was so funny and another I’ve noticed with all the fiber I eat and the healthy food mine has become a problem, I’ve tried beano and gas-x neither of them worked I am hoping my beody will adjust if not I guess I’ll be living with it for the rest of my life I just hope I find and understanding man like you have teehee.

    Well good luck with the no night time grazing I know you won’t need it anyways your to strong willed. I have a problem with snacking while on the computer so I think I’m going to challenge myself to no eating in front of the computer lol

    some people are just so silly! LOVE how enthusiastic you are about kickboxing. I used to be the same when I taught taekwondo. At the beginning of every semester, I would shout myself hoarse until my vocal cords got stronger… found it was the best way to keep people motivated. Nothing better than someone shouting at you to keep going just when you’ve reached your limit… or what you thought was your limit… because with someone shouting at you like that… you CAN do 5 more reps!!!

    Like always you are doing a great job. :D As for the free weights and machines…that’s all I did for building muscles when I had my trainer and I have so say I build a lot of muscles that way. Now for losing weight, I agree you have to do cardio to burn the fat.
    Great job on not eating the burger, well at least that night you didn’t ;) I so could go for a nice yummy burger. But not yet…still ways to go before I am ready for one. Keep going girl! :D

    Ha ha . . . love those dumb girls . . . they keep me so entertained.

    So true about form on the free weights. I was taught to lift by an Olympic weightlifting coach while I was in high school and he drilled that one in, bad form not only means you are getting everything out of it that you could, but you are also increasing your risk on injury.
