The dark side of exercise and PMS…Day 46 on to Day 47

Thanks for the love ladies.  I notice not one guy commented on the evil blog.  Go figure right?  I guess it’s something only the ladies can understand.

Shan, you are the boss - I loved your comment.

I’ve been working out 2 hours consistantly mixing different formats - cardio plus weights, yoga plus cardio, cardio only.  I love it all.  I have to say I am getting used to doing 2 hours straight.  So tonight, I just finished my Step and Yoga combo.  I ate - YES KAMA AND ANJ!!!!! Seaweed “beef” jerky,  goji berries and fresh mango for energy.  Boy did I get it!  I had a lot of energy.  From Step I moved on to yoga.

Guess who subbed the yoga class?  My girl Nygel!!!! Did the bootie bounce for that one! :)

I was banking on an easy super easy yoga class and ended up with Miss Military show me your push-ups NOW - I loved it.  So my poor shoulders, handled the push-ups and yes - got my form right.  I also focused more on breathing - oh, hence, the Wildcat breathing post I did earlier.  I certainly feel that connection between mind, body and soul. hehehe

Then I finish off my 1.5 liter of water I filled up for both classes - to wash out all the toxins released during yoga.

BUT the moment I got home….I was hungry- nah, that’s not the right word - ravenous and ready to inhale food.  I don’t quite understand why as I ate adequately - enough carbs to sustain a high cardio class and an intensive yoga class.  I found myself wanting to eat everything that’s cooked and uncooked - if I could.  But I did limit myself to 1 bowl of rice, some Asian curry my mom made for me and bake chicken.

The old me would not stop at that point.  I would continue to gorge and feast….but I thought of you guys and how we are all struggling with food issues, drank 24 oz of water, read some blogs and I’m ok.

I’m going to eat my last meal - looking forward to it (sometimes I look forward to my next meal more then I do sex - just don’t tell my honey).   :)

It’s true though, if you work out, the hungrier you get…but it’s how you deal with it will make it or break it! :)  Me, I want to continue on my road so Helll  Nahhhh I’m not eating till 9! :)

AND THROW in the sin of my original mom EVE - I am hungrier when I exercise and PMS!

Day 46 is good - made it

Day 47 - looking forward to it.

So tomorrow I have a kickboxing class and my ballet/pilates fusion class to get antsy for.  Whooo hooo!

Nancy, you are an amazing woman! I’m so glad that we have become friends! You push when I need to be pushed and you are truly a friend when I’ve needed it. You have no idea how much that means to me. Good job on getting in 2 hours! I feel like a slacker not getting to my Zumba class. Will just have to work harder this week! ;-)

  11. sabrinaBB @ December 18th, 2008

I was always wondering where you get all your energy from. Must be the goigi berries. ;) Can’t wait to read your blog about them to find out what it is.

    You are amazing…keep going! :D

Hey Sabrina, remember - gotta eat before you work out and good carbs is a great source and plenty of waters hours before you do it is a great idea. :)

Seaweed is a great source for energy. My boss put me up on that.

  13. readytoemerge @ December 18th, 2008

Stayin’ strong…good job girl! You tell those cravings whose boss! :)

  14. harleygirl @ December 18th, 2008

That’s my girl!!!!! EWWWWW…seaweed! LOL! I do gotta tell you that I did think about you Saturday night when we went to see that band. Turns out the bar is in a building with some other businesses as well and we ended up walking into a Sushi bar! LMAO…thought of you and Kama right away :)

  15. sabrinaBB @ December 18th, 2008

Seaweed? Never tried that before? Didn’t know you can eat it ;) Where do you buy it? Do you have to prepare it a certain way? Same with the goigi berries. Girl…give us all your secrets! :D

And Yes, I remember …eating before working out! :D I am still on the cleanse program so all I could eat before was a few almonds. Two more days and then I am done with it and I’ll be back on my schedule.

  16. sabrinaBB @ December 18th, 2008

I just realized I think I did try it before. Isn’t that what they put around a sushi roll?

  17. thrive @ December 18th, 2008

way to go sistah! i love seaweed and all that stuff. had tofurkey sandwiches for lunch yesterday and today and black sesame/seaweed crackers and ummus for snack. monday was sushi day as well…

  18. kamaperry @ December 18th, 2008

Awesome! Heck, I get energized from just reading your blog!!! Hey I DO like sushi and all that, Anj is the one who doesn’t! LOL
    You keep rockin’ it!

  19. khmerbeauty @ December 18th, 2008

Sabrina, seaweed jerky is a vegan version of a beef jerky. Yes, it’s seaweed, similar to the wrap on the rolls but this taste just like jerky but too salty for me - but I need fuel so I ate it. :)

Deb’s my girl - I know you love this stuff!

OK KAMA heheh - will keep that in mind…do you like sashimi too? hehe raw fish + kama = don’t think so!
