My mom tells me I have a big head - that’s why I won’t lose any more weight
Ya see the amount of support I get from my family?
Jesus Christ, what can a girl do to get some support at home? I can’t get any. The other day my boyfriend gently joked I was having an affair at the gym. Even though he’s kidding it’s the first time in a few months since he made those comments about my time working out. Oh yes, gave him the evil eye for even making such a ridiculus assumption. He’s going to pay for it though. The next time I leave the gym to pick him up - I’m not going to change into clean clothes and it comes with a big sweaty hug and kiss and a rub of my sweaty hair on his arm. Did someone have something smart to say? hehehe
My mom and sister aren’t any better. I walked into the kitchen last night wearing a pair of sweats that are a bit too big now. My sister’s reaction “Damn, you lost your ass!” Thanks for the sentiment little sis - as if Rodney doesn’t remind me enough every day.
So of course my mom chimes in “She also has a big head, no matter how much weight she loses she can’t lose that. That’s why I keep telling her it’s all in vain, you exercise exercise and exercise some more but you ain’t gonna lose weight.”
Now you see why I need Buddyslim?
Yesterday I stayed on point and didn’t eat past 9pm (thanks Kama)! Nor did I go over my calorie need; stayed under 1400.
Today I have to increase it to 1700 - I have a 1/2 ab class with a hot instructor named Chris - cute cute, 1 hour Lift and 1 hr kickboxing.

I’m taking my big head and no ass butt to the gym to prove them all wrong! :)

What I’ve learnt is that you cant listen to anyone else but yourself. God, what your Mom said was really hurtful. Hard to forget comments like that. But you know we all support you here. You’re doing an amazing job at the gym and with your new lifestyle. Dont let anyone get you to sacrifice your own health, just to make them feel better. Sometimes people dont like it when the status quo is shifted a bit. They say nasty things just to make themselves feel better. Horrible, but true.
That really stinks. You look amazing and I am sure I speak for a lot of people when I say I wished I looked like you!!! You are doing the right thing, for yourself and body and mind.
Hey maybe your man should start working out with you then he will know exactly what you are doing
Hey Holly, I did that a few times, have him come to they gym with me. Problem is he’s Kenyan - has the metabolism of a marathoner and weighs about 165 lbs on a 6′4″ frame. Working out is that last thing he does.
Listen girlie - you just tell them all the kiss your ever SHRINKIN behind…and then flip that big head of yours around and walk out the room….LOL
You know I am just kidding..you are absolutely gorgeous! I am one of the people that wish I looked like you AND had the love affair with the gym like you do…you inspire sooo many people on here - those comments from your family should go in one ear and out the other…maybe they are jealous and wish that they had the desire and determination that you do!
You go girl! Whats the matter? They all jealous? I would be if I were them.
BTW, if the instructor is cute and single can you get his number for me? Oh, forget it…I got a man. Damn, that stinks almost as much as your sweaty gym socks! Love ya!
Thank you Stacey - hahahaha!
Anj- where have you been? Missed ya!
I already did that! It’s in your in-box. Told him I know of a hot girl who wants to fly out and give his abs a try! I mean class!
Sweaty and smelly socks right? Don’t forget the armpits!! LOL
I dont know what it is about family that think that they can just say anything. You just hang in there….You are beautiful and you such an amazing job at the gym…tell them…”bite me” lol. Meanwhile all of us here will keep telling you how much you rock!! Love Debbie
OMG - That sounds so much like my mom it’s freaky!
Okay, your mom is too funny. Parents have the craziest way with words. Believe me when I say, my mom would say some off the wall shit, that made me think I was found in a dumpster. (LOL) Your bod is coming along just fine. You’re puuurfect. Let no one come in between you and your desire for great health.
P.S. My head is large, so I’m going to take off ten pounds extra, next time I weigh in. I can take your moms comment and work it a Diva’s advantage!
Ok, question, you intake 1700 cals due to the exercise? I wonder if my calories are too low, too.

Good job on not eating after 9!
I hit submit before I meant to. I’m sorry your family is so thoughtless, you are a beautiful lady and deserve alot of respect. Love you lots, Kama

You all crack me up!!! Hahaha - thanks for the love - back at you!
Debbie - I did tell my mom to “bite me” in Cambodian. LOL
Kelly, our Asian moms are alike!
Kama - love you too, Yes - I’m eating 1700 calories because I have a lot of exercise to do.
Cherese - you know I love you and your support! I used to tell my siste I found her near a dumpster until my dad hit me up side the head for it! Hahaha
Do increase it just for your workout days and see how it goes. It’s a tidbit I got from Jillian Micheals’ talkshow.
Nancy- Dang!!! No ass and a big head. Now that is a problem!!! LOL! Not sure if you have noticed but sometimes friends and family have strange reactions when you (not you in partic..but you know what I mean) loose weight and start looking good like you do! Seriously. I am not sure why this happens….I am sure they are all sooo very proud of how healthy you have gotten. They should be because it is a HUGE accomplishment!
Well, that just plain sucks, that you aren’t getting any support from your mom and sister.
I say ignore their rude comments and tell em’ to kiss your ever shrinking butt hehe. Seriously though, what matters the most is that you feel GREAT and are doing so well.

ya know, my mom would throw herself in front of a bus to save me…. but DAMN… she can say the meanest things! I just don’t get it.
