Day 1 Success

My goal yesterday was a simple one. Get to the gym and DON’T eat after 8:30pm. SUCCESS :)
I got dressed and left work at 4:30pm and headed straight for the gym. Got there at 5 and thought the only thing I was going to do was wait around for my 5:30pm Lift class. But the first Kickboxing class was full and I thought why not, let’s go in for a warm up. Glad I did, they were doing the Best of 4 and I had a great time. Then I did my weight class, first in over two months - and I know I’ll pay for it later. Then I did the first 1/2 of the second kickboxing class. I wanted to do the whole hour but I knew it was best to ease into my workouts instead of plunging in and going hardcore on the first day.

Then I went home and ate mom’s Cambodian beef soup and rice - really light and helathy -Thanks MOM :). But there was also pizza and we also had cake - the temptation was too much. I ended up eating the pizza and took a coule bites of the cake. Nine rolled by and my boyfriend came home with some fast food - I was sooooooo tempted to eat and I actually asked Rodney for some. You know what he said, “As much as this hurts me I can’t give you any” - because you asked me to help you get to your goal. I love him for his support.

I fought temptation all night and I felt like I was going through food withdrawal. My body is used to eating around 10:30 due to a late workout schedule in the past. I am trying so hard to break the cycle and last night was not easy.

I look forward to a great eating day, mindful of everything that goes in my mouth and can’t wait to hit the gym for some cardio and yoga.

Stay strong, you’re doing great so far. Remember it takes 4-6 weeks to change or make a new habbit, or was it 6-8….LOL
Whatever the amount, keep up the good work!
