Second time around
Last year at this time in my life I was in the best shape of my life. I had at that point lost well over 70 lbs. I was 150lbs, was a size 5/7, ate right, worked out 6 days a week and couldn’t ask for anything more. Then the hamstring injury ocurred and the groin tear. My workout and food habits were destroyed after those two incidents. Since then I’ve gained 30 lbs steadily and is now at 180lbs (appx) because I won’t get on a scale but I feel it and know it by how my clothes fit.
But I’m not giving up. I have a loving and very supportive boyfriend who is the light of my life. I know what to do and how to do it. Will power is the key and I have it again. I told him this morning I know what my problem is - it’s my food intake. Once I have that under control then exercise is a breeze. Wow, can’t believe I used to be a gym rat. But I won’t take it to that extreme again - as my body fought back the last time around.
I tell myself - eat sensible, exercise and drink alot of water. It’s a struggle, sometimes minute by minute but I will do it right. There are no short cuts.

i think that is really brave. starting over again especially if you think of the struggles you had to lose the weight the first place. i personally have struggled so many times that i have lost count, but your older and wiser now and you know what it takes and what you have to do. i wish the very best of luck. i am sure you can do it.
You are right there is no short cuts unfortunately. It would be nice wouldn’t it. LOL!! Good luck on your journey!
I do beleive the second time around is the hardest…I am in your shoes…Its hard because we know we let ourselves down…We know what we need to do. For we have been successful…But man…Re-losing is tough. So I wish you MUCH succes!
